Craig Kelly
...30+ years and what seems like TWO lifetimes ago...
After HS and a couple of years at SW State, headed off to Texas (A&I) to finish the degree...No job, so did 5 years in the Navy (3 aboard a submarine out of San Diego) before deciding that I'd rather be married to my wife (now 27 yrs), than the Navy...Found a job in the oil industry - a few years in New Orleans, followed by 2 in Northern VA, then the BIG move to the Middle East - Saudi for 4 years, and Qatar for the last 14....
Life's great out here...sun shines everyday, winters are mild (rarely gets below 50 degrees), and summers brutally hot and humid...Work is good - developing huge gas projects....Wife works at the American School (accounting/finance), and kids have literally grown up in the Middle East (daughter was 3 months old when she joined me in Saudi, and son was born there)...Lots of great travel opportunities around this side of the world, and when in the States, split my time between SW Colorado (Durango) and South Texas...still have one brother (glass artist) and my mom in Minneapolis...Enjoy getting back, but DO NOT miss the winters...
