40 years!!!1968!! Seems like only yesterday. What a remarkable, turbulent and pivotal year in American History. Think of all that happened. The assasination of Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy(imagine how different things would have been if they lived); race riots around the country, The Tet offensive-the turning point of American support for the Vietnam War; the riots at the Democratic convention in Chicago; and of course one of the few bright spots --the GRADUATION OF COLONIA Sr. HIGH SHCOOL'S CLASS OF 1968!! And of course the great music.
I attended Hofstra U. from 1969 until 1970. Remeber the first Draft Lottery ?? I will never forget that day. I was #365!! I transfered to Rutgers Newark and graduated in 1972.
I took off for Europe on a whim in the summer of 1972. Unfortunately the money ran out and returned home after about 4 weeks. Went to work in the Munincipal Bond business.. This was not for me and went to work in the Textile industry in NYC.
I married my first, and only, wife(up to now)in 1974. We moved out to the San Francisco Bay area. After I while we decided to move back east -we missed the east coast, NJ, the cold winters--hot sticky summers. What was I thinking?? My son, Aaron was born in 1978. We moved to Marlboro, NJ. Separated in 1984(divorced in 1987).
In 1986 I became a Mortgage Consultant and have been doing that ever since. In 1987 Moved to East Brunswick where I now reside.
19 years ago, I met Margery and we have been 'together' ever since. We are not married or living together(not my idea-i think she talked to my ex wife).Probably why we lasted 19 years. She works for Saks at the Short Hills Mall.
Aaron got married to a wonderful girl in Feb. '07 and now lives in South River,NJ. He is currently taking classes to become an electrician...
WE love going to NYC and just walking around, people watching, museums etc.(of course she loves shopping). We Try to travel as much as possible.
Well thats my life up this point. Hopefully i will see many of you at the reunion next year.
