Today's Featured Biography
Heather Leifeste
I'm living and working in Goleta, California, which is a fantastic little town right next to Santa Barbara. I am trying to buy a home here, a 2BR condo, but prices are really high, so I am stuck with trying to buy short sales and bank owned properties, but I love looking at places with my realtor and friends. I can dream up the entire space and remodel it while visiting, so the uglier the decor, the better (you don't feel as guilty making drastic changes to a place when it has horrible wallpaper and paint). I have been practicing Tae Kwon Do for the last few years and have a first degree black belt. I haven't been too interested in any guys recently, so that department is not so great. I work for Raytheon, an aerospace company. Who would have guessed that I would be working for a defense contractor. But I love it. My facility make infrared focal plane arrays. I am a process engineer in charge of some wafer manufacturing chemical processes. So I have to wear a bunny suit and work in a cleanroom for part of the time. It is a lot of chemistry and problem solving and microscope work. So I love it. Also the people are great, a lot of goofing around. It is amazing how a bunny suit makes you want to sing and dance (imagine the intel commercials from years back). So out here I surf and hike and rockclimb a little. I spend as much time outside as I possibly can, which is easy here, as it is 75 ± 5°F in the summer and 65 ± 5°F in the winter (during the day). And the ocean is only a mile away. Okay, I think that is enough biography for now, bye...
