Boy does it seems like forever since I left Colonia High, due to my house burning down on New Dover Road -Jan 18, 1998; and moved to the FL Keys to live with my father.
The worst part about moving te middle of my senior year, was that I had to graduate with strangers at a new school - Marathon High,(I didn't like Key West High, totally different than Jersey!) I'd gone to school with the same people since grade school, and now I was alone.
I live literally smack between Key West and Marathon (MM 30 on U.S. 1, so I have to drive 25 miles to school each way no matter what, but Life is totally different here in the Keys...Very layed back, and HOT! TOO HOT! But it's gorgeous.
I'm currently finishing nursing school, and I got my EMT license, but I've had to take care of my dad when he got sick a few years back, so I'm just now finishing school, 1 semester left!! and I'm an RN!
I have a great guy in my life named Brad (9 years together so far) And yes Chris Martin (my H.S. sweetheart) and I talk all the time, we're just in different states. Friends for life. No kids yet, except for my animals, and I have quite a few -2 ferrets, 2 cats & 1 kitten, 1 Llasso Apso, and like 26 hermit crabs, oh and a beta fish.....LoL
As you can see I haven't change much, I still talk way too much, and miss Jersey, even though I live in "paradise"....When you live here it becomes a different place, but I'll always cherish the time I live here, but I'll always miss "home" too.
They say you spend your whole youth wanting to get out of school, grow up, etc... and you're adult life wishing you could go back and do it again.....I sure wish I could, we didn't realize it until now, but they were some of the Best years of our lives!!!
