Today's Featured Biography
Kelly O'Rourke Smith
Hello fellow grads of 1985. It's so hard to believe it has been 20 years! I used to think that anyone having their 20 year reunion was sooo old...needless to say I no longer feel this way. A brief history of the last 20 years for me...I graduated from Dalhousie University dental hygiene in 1990. I have worked for Eric Haley and Terry
Foreman in Riverview since then ( I do see a few of our fellow grads at work) I work three days a week-Mon. thru Wed. about 25 hours/week.(very nice to have long week-ends)
I married my husband, Scott Smith in 1992. He is from salisbury and works for Hewlett-Packard. We have three children, a son Nicholas, age 11 (attends Riverview Middle), a daughter Taylor, age 9 and a son Jared, age 7 (both attend Frank L. Bowser) We devote much of our spare time to our children's extra-curricular activities.(Nicholas plays on the Riverview pee wee AA Blues hockey team, also plays spring and summer hockey, soccer and took up golf at the MGC last summer. Taylor plays provincial basketball does Irish dance piano lessons, and summer soccer. Jared plays novice hockey, summer soccer and is going to start lacrosse this spring. Our social life tends to revolve around them as well and we have met some of our best friends this way (probably sounds familiar to most of you) We spend most of our summers at Grand Lake. We have a trailor parked at Cumberland Point and we enjoy boating swimming and relaxing with family and friends every summer. Kids love it there still. We currently live in Lower Coverdale but are thinking about moving back into Riverview as the kids want to be closer to friends and school.(oh the things we do for our kids!) Well, I so look forward to reading everyone's biography, and seeing all of you in August, especially because I missed the reunion in 1995 due to a national dental hygiene conference I had to attend the same week-end.
