Today's Featured Biography
Jane Blalock Littlejohn
I reluctantly left CA in 1967 for Bangkok Thailand. (Bangkok was a complete BLAST!) Attended International School of Bangkok, but joined my friend, Pam Jarvis, in Anchorage Alaska and graduated from West Anchorage HS in '68. Returned to Thailand and stayed for two years, met and married husband#1. Returned to US to go to school, starting out north of Seattle and ending up graduating in Business from UC Berkeley. Went back to Asia, this time Indonesia and lived in Jakarta for three years....not as nice as Bangkok, that's for sure. After Jakarta, returned to the States, Dallas TX, got divorced, met husband #2 and started working. Accounting, financial and business management. Moved to CA for three years, divorced #2, then back to Dallas, and on to Boulder CO for seven years. Met #3 (3rd time is definitely a charm!), started an on-air video production company for cable television, and moved to Santa Barbara CA. We had a blast with the company, getting my boys through HS (whew!)and made a little money too. (emphasis on the little). We are now semi-retired living on the beautiful Big Island in a very rural area and LOVING IT!
I guess I will always be a bit of a roving gypsy! Can't seem to stay in one place. But I've had a great time in life, worked hard and try to play harder. I have the best husband in the world and have good friends in both my ex's. My boys, Shane and Bejan are about 30 and I can't believe it. Are we really that OLD!!!?
Vanden was the best school of all and it was a unique and intimate HS experience. I hope all who read this can similarly look back on the great environment we were in and appreciate it.
