Scott Welch
Below is the b.s. bio for business. We live in Nashville Tenn after 10 years in the rat race of Los Angles. Des and I did not want to raise our children there. We are enjoying living on a lake in Nashville. We spend our free time on our boat and watching the kids play sports.
Scott Welch, 50, is the president of Scott Welch Management Inc., with offices in Los Angeles and Nashville. Up until 2005, he was a partner in Mosaic Media Group, a multi media company that managed film, television, and musical artists based in Los Angeles and Nashville. Mosaic managed the careers of Alanis Morissette, Green Day, Jim Carrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Vince Vaughn, Wil Ferrell and over 40 clients. Mosaic also owned Dick Clark Productions and the publishing catalogs of ZZTOP and Aerosmith.
Scott has managed among others Alanis Morissette, LeAnn Rimes, Steve Perry, Paula Abdul and C&C Music Factory. These artists have sold a combined total of 100 million CDs worldwide. Alanis Morrisette’s debut album Jagged Little Pill was the largest selling debut album in history, with worldwide sales in excess of 32 million records and the winner of seven GRAMMY Awards plus numerous critic and sales awards all over the world.
Welch currently manages Equity records country artist Mark Wills, Universal/Equity recordings artist Carolyn Dawn Johnson, and the estate of country music superstar Conway Twitty. The company also has numerous consulting deals with corporations handling their entertainment relationships.
In addition to managing and consulting, he was also instrumental as an executive producer of the City of Angels movie soundtrack, which was the largest selling soundtrack album of the year with sales of over eight million copies, winning three GRAMMY Awards and yielding No. 1 singles for Alanis Morissette and The Goo Goo Dolls.
He was a key component in the building and launching of MP3.com, which was the first digital music website, the launch and development of Stubhub, an online ticketing company recently purchased by Ebay, and is currently launching a company called Chromagen that has patented and FDA approved eye lenses that cures colorblindness and reading disorders.
Scott lives in Nashville with his wife Desaree and two children Ross (14) and Madeline (10).
