Carla Dunnington Holzer
Hi everyone!
Boy ~ it has been such a long time ~ there are so many of you that i think of often! i have very fond memories of my time spent at Northglenn. i feel very blessed to have gone to such a wonderful school and have grown up in such a great state!
After high school, i spent my first year of college at UNC. My parents moved to San Diego and i followed. i finished school there, got my degree in Business Management and began a career that lasted with the same company for 14 years. My career started with Hamilton Sundstrand and i finished it at Pratt & Whitney ~ which are both companies owned by United Technologies. My last role was Customer Support Manager for the PW4000s. i worked with airlines from all over the world to have their engines overhauled and repaired. it was a fascinating job both work-wise and also in regards to the wonderful people that i was fortunate enough to meet from all over the world.
i met my Canadian husband, Frank, at Hamilton Sundstrand. We were friends for 8 years before dating. We were married 7 1/2 years ago. Currently, Frank is the Director of Engineering at a local aerospace company. Our jobs took us to CT where we worked at Pratt & Whitney. While there ~ we were blessed with the birth of our identical twin girls. That is when i threw in the career towel and began doing the mommy role ~ five years ago ~ WOW! i love every minute with the girls and can't imagine doing anything else more rewarding with my life. After they were born, we decided to head back west. With Frank's aerospace career ~ our choices were limited, but we landed here in Arizona. it is a truly wonderful place to live and we have been here almost 4 years now.
