Today's Featured Biography
Janine Watson Butzine
Well, talk about being late!! The reunion is in 2 days and I just now know. I'm looking forward to clinking a glass with a few of you on Friday night.
My life is not a whole lot different than it was at the 10 year reunion. For those of you who are just as nosy as I am about other's lives, this is the quick scoop of my last 20 years... with my best foot forward of course.
I moved to Greeley after HS with the whole intention of actually going to school and creating an inspiring resume, but low & behold!! There are men out in the real world and they just messed up my plan. haha I met my husband that fall at a "shop & rob" we both worked at and I forgot to go back to the classroom. We dinked around for a year in L.A. before we saved enough $ to get home and we have no intentions of leaving our bit of heaven in Red Feather Lakes.
My husband & I own Jerry's Towing (one man- one truck) here in the mountains as well as manage a 650 acre ranch. (Unfortunately, it's someone else's land, but I'm satisfied to be its caretaker.) This is a fabulous place to raise our boys even if you have to catch a school bus at 6am and pack a lunch every single day of the school year! Talk about rural living- the school has "wild animal" on campus alarms. haha
My husband and I have been on the fire department for over 13 years and I'm also an EMT. My bragging moment was winning Woman of the Year in EMS for the State of Colorado a few years back. This volunteer work is great!
My family is satisfied to be home bodies. We do like our DVDs in addition to typical great outdoors stuff (hiking, fishing, archery...). I am definately not living the life I daydreamed of, but now I realize it's the life I was meant to have.
Simplicity is good for the soul. See you soon!
