Today's Featured Biography
Janice Gamage Slater
After graduation, I married Jimmy Carlson who was my high school sweetheart, on June 4th of that same year. He and I moved from Waycross to Dawson, Ga to manage a store, and then back to Waycross. Then from Waycross to Savannah, Ga to manage another store. Then came the divorce, this marriage lasted only 6 years. In 1974, in Savannah Ga, I met and married my soul mate, Ronnie Slater(Ron). Ronnie and I lived in Savannah for a year until moving to Statesboro Ga, proudly the Home of the Georgia Southern Eagle, which is still my home of residence. Ronnie opened up his own business as an electrical contractor until he became disabled. We had one son, Patrick Ryan Slater, who passed away at his birth. Ronnie and I loved to go camping and just all around enjoyed every bit of our life together. We were married for 32 beautiful years until his passing in 2005 due to agent orange from a Vietnam deployment. I am proud to say my husband was a veteran of this country and nothing could have made me more proud of him. Losing him and my mother was the 2 worst things Ive ever experienced. I now live a comfortable life with my sweet kitty cats, who I adore. I love to visit, travel and go on vacation with my friends. Over all I have had a wonderful life. I love God, my Family and Friends very much and would do anything I could for them if they needed me to. I am so looking forward to seeing all of my classmates at our 50th REUNION!!
With Love,
Janice Gamage Slater

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
