After graduating EPCHS, went to Purdue for two years and was drafted in the Army. Served my tour in Alaska and returned to civilian life in 8/67. Went to work for INA Insurance in downtown Chicago where I met Gail, my wife of 43 years. We have two sons, Gordy III (42) and Darryl (38). Gordy is VP of Consumer Lending at MB Financial in Rosemont and Darryl is Director of Internal audit and Risk Management at Motorola. They have married wonderful daughter-in-laws, Janet and Lynn and have produced for us four wonderful grandchildren - Amanda (8) April (4)& Rachel 19 mo. -Darryl Lynn's and our only grandson (so far), Colin (who has been diagnosed with Type I juvenile diabetes, so we are all dealing with that) (7) Gordy and Janet's.
I worked for Moraine Valley Coummunity College for 30 1/2 years as director of auxiliary services and retired with a nice State of Illinois pension as of 1/1/2001. I also worked 16 years part time as manager of MVCC driving range (now closed). My much younger and beautiful spouse, Gail, is still working selling furniture. We are living for the past 5 yrs. in a two story house (are we crazy?) in Shorewood after spending many years in Mokena. My "only" vice is golf and I love to watch all sports on TV. Looking forward to seeing classmates at our 50th reunion.
