58 Year Reunion Announcement!

REUNION WRAPUP
Our Class Reunion was held on Sept 16, 2023 in the cafeteria at the high school. We were so happy to finally have our reunion after cancelling the last two due to COVID. We all had a wonderful afternoon together and Gail Knieps, the school facilities manager and former graduate, took us on a school tour. It was so great to walk those halls again and see how the school changed over the years. What a beautiful school it is and the new library is fabulous. A group pic was taken and a classmate led us in the school song. Many friendships were renewed and some new ones were made with students we didn't know as well back then. After the event, a number of classmates went to dinner at Palermo's. We had such a wonderful time together and no one wanted to leave. What a special class we have and it was a day we'll long remember.

at his home in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born March 17, 1947 in Illinois to Leroy and Anna Bertha Pullman Howatt. On May 30, 1998 he married Lynette Sue Saner in Warsaw, Indiana.

Today's Featured Biography
Susan Kaluzny Mittelsteadt
Graduated U of I with a FAA degree in sculpture. Married 1970 and still married to the same man! Wonders will never cease. Moved all over Illinios, Indiana and Ohio following my husbands job relocations. I found work where ever we landed, mainly Administrative Assistant type postions. We relocated to Sun City to get away from the winters and to be near my husbands brothers. I love the southwest! Have been collecting "buffalos" for 24 years!
After moving to Sun City in 2000 I began to do what I waited 30 years to do. Design and created jewelry! My degree was in sculpture but my heart was with jewelry design. Two children and 10 moves later I am now able to follow my passion!
I am an active member of the Silver and Lapidary Clubs in Sun City. I volunteer many hours by teaching basic silver classes and working as treasurer and purchasing agent for the clubs. I have my own shop at home so I am able to work when the spirit moves me! Retirement could not be better!
BUCKET LIST:
Trips to Alaska and Germany
Update 2015: Since moving to Sun City 15 years ago I have been able to do jewelry in silver - a passion since I graduated college.
Bucket List: Traveling to Germany/Poland
Favorite memories: Play in intermural sports after school. Volleyball, basketball, baseball and the team mates were great!
