20 years doesn't seem possible! I still feel like I'm young enough to hang out at Grandview Plaza! Here is my past 20 years in a nutshell...
After graduation I spent a year in Overland Park, Kansas rooming with Caye Lucas. After working a year at a Preschool making minimum wage I decided I wanted to go to college to earn a whopping teacher's salary! I attended SMSU now known as MSU in Springfield, Missouri. Got my undergrad in education, I have a Master's Degree in Reading and I am currently working on a second Master's in Administration. I have taught for 13 years now. I currently teach sixth grade in an intermediate school in a suberb of Chicago. Yes, this is the grade that Dez, Wendi, and I tortured poor Ms. Sisney! I guess paybacks come back around!
I met my husband in college in the coed dorm. No wonder my dad didn't want me living there. We have two beautiful daughters, Grace who is 9 now and Jade who is 5. I love being a girl mom. Although I'm sure paybacks again will come around!
My family and I are saying farewell to the Midwest and are currently moving to New England. My husband, Andy was hired at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. He is also obtaining his Doctorate and is currently the assistant swim coach and Aquatics Director, his dream job! He also has his own racing company and directs many races in that area. Check out www.peakraces.com! I was just hired as well at the college part time and will be pursuing a Doctorate so I can become a Professor of Education. In the meantime, I will be a Principal at a small mountain school in Woodstock, Vermont. MY dream job!
I am also looking forward to reconnecting with long, lost friends. Life has gone on and we have all been busy with our families and new friends. However, the past year or so I have been "craving" my old HS relationships. I am so excited to see everyone again and I hope everyone's life is as blessed as mine!
