The 30 year reunion will be on October 9th at the Raintree Lake Clubhouse in Lee's Summit. We will be posting details and how to purchase tickets in the upcoming days.
We are excited to see everyone and we hope you can share and message ALL of our classmates! Please take some time this week and reach out to people in our class and let them know you want them to come. If you stay in contact with friends, please reach out. If you have not stayed in contact and would like to reconnect please reach out (messenger is an easy way). Often, people just need to be invited or encouraged to come and they will. Please know that people will remember you, they will want to see you, they will want to find out about you and reconnect.
Personally, I have friends from high school that I have kept in contact with and see often. Some of them have come to the reunions and some have not - I want to see them more and I want them to come to the reunion.
I also have a bunch of friends from school that I have not kept in contact with and would love to see them and reconnect. I'm always amazed at seeing old friends, reminiscing, sharing stories and getting that feeling like you've never missed a beat. For all of you that have not come to our reunions in the past or may have skipped a few - we want to see you and we want you to come!
Our class was so large that it was tough to really know everyone. I know for me, over the years it has been great seeing old friends but it has also been great reconnecting with people that I did not know as well in school or even know at all, but thoroughly enjoyed learning about their lives and getting to know them as adults.
I have heard people say that no one will remember them or they did not have a great HS experience. You will be remembered and people want to see you. High School was a different experience for everyone, but in the end, we all share a great bond and I guarantee you will not regret coming.
On behalf of the reunion committee I would like to apologize for being behind with promotion and communication. Like all of you, it's just been a crazy last few months and that's our only excuse.
Venues have been difficult to secure as there is a back log of weddings and events due to the pandemic - availability and affordability are issues and we also need a large enough space to handle our class size. We are excited to have secured Raintree Lake Clubhouse which will be a nice space with a great view, large deck and can accommodate our numbers.
Stay tuned and let's make this reunion our best one yet!

Cindy Pipes Swatek
Hey everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well!
Just to catch you up on what I've been doing since 1991...
I graduated from Baker University back in 1996, where I played volleyball, and then spent some time as the Head Volleyball coach and PE teacher at Wm Chrisman High School until the kids came along.
I have been married to the love of my life, Matt since July 1998. We have two AWESOME kids: Jacob (age 9) and Celeste (age 5) who we adopted from Guatemala as infants.
We moved from KC to the Springfield area in 2004 when Matt was transferred here. We LOVE living in this area!
We started a non-profit organization called the Affording Adoption Foundation to help families afford the cost of adoption through fundraising and grants. We gave away our first grants to families in April 2011. We are SO excited to help people realize their dreams of becoming parents through the miracle of adoption!!

I started a group called MOGUATE for families who have children from Guatemala. www.moguate.com
I am also the PTA President for Jacob & Celeste's school.
I am busy - but wouldn't change even one thing about my life! :) I have been blessed!!!!!
We love to travel and introduce our kids to new places...just trying to check things off my "bucket list" before I get too old! ;)
