Today's Featured Biography
Linda Young Hunt
During high school, I was very active in the Thespians, both on-stage and back-stage.
Married Steve in 1971 in Kokomo, In. where my Dad moved after retiring from the Air Force.
In 1974, Steve re-joined the U.S. Navy and we were sent to Tacoma, Wa. We have lived in the WA. area ever since. He retired from the Navy Reserves in 1992.
In Tacoma and Olympia, I was active in the Little Theatre groups to kep me occupied while Steve was away, in addition to working for Equifax, Inc. and the Credit Bureau.
In 1982, we started our own business, transferring home movies, slides and photos to video, and doing all kinds of video duplications.
I have been figure skating, as a recreational competitor, since 1987, and really love it! Those of you who knew me in H.S. will probably be surprised at this, as I was not at all athletic then, but skating is fun!
Unfortunately, Steve and I never had children, but currently have a blind Cocker Spaniel named Barney.
2017--Unfortunately, we had to put Barney down in 2009 and still miss him tremendously. However, we are now owned by a little female cat (Gabby) who wandered into our back yard in 2011 and claimed it and our house as her own.
I quit skating in 2011, after having a couple of broken bones, and have since joined a group called the Memorie Singers. We sing at senior centers, community centers, nursing homes, etc. and have a two hour show in June every year. Still miss skating, but am enjoying the Memorie Singers a lot! Still married to Steve.
