Scott Brusaw
1976-1980 – USMC
Spent two years in the states (South Carolina, Alabama, North Carolina) and two more bouncing around between South Korea, Japan (Mt Fuji), and Okinawa. I signed up for the electrical/mechanical program hoping to be trained as an electrician or a mechanic. I was trained in munitions/explosives instead.
1981-1983 – Oil exploration
Found a use for my explosives background! Worked in Nevada, Texas, Louisiana, and Illinois.
1983-1988 – College years
AS in General Studies from Sinclair
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from UD
1988-2001 – Precision Industries (PDi Communication Systems), Springboro, Ohio
Became the Director of Research and Development and designed their product line. Earned a master’s in Electrical Engineering from UD (night school). Developed hardware, firmware, and software for systems installed in Canada, Italy, and several US states.
2001-2004 – Moved to north Idaho and provided contract engineering services
2004-2005 – Taught digital electronics and microprocessors at ITT Technical Institute in Spokane, WA
2006-present – CEO of Solar Roadways Incorporated, Sandpoint, Idaho
