Connie Godfrey Willey

As you can see I was very busy for several years after graduation. When my son was a senior in high school I returned to school and got my RN. I worked in OB for a few years at Alliance City Hospital and Robinson Memorial. I became a Nurse Clinician at Robinson and worked for nearly 10 years in that position. I then became the Nursing Director for Evant which is an agency that provides residential services for people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. I have been there for nearly 18 years. I plan on working at least another 3 years. I guess since I was a late bloomer I should keep going a little while.
We lived in Randolph for 30 years then moved to Suffield about 12 years ago.
Jerry and I have 11 grand children. No greats yet. Our eldest grandson (unmarried)has offered to work on that and place the baby in my lap. I told him that was perfectly alright that I would wait until he gets married and raises it himself. I've done my share of raising youngins!
We are very active in church work. I play the piano and organ. We have had a family Southern Gospel quartet and Jerry and our daughter traveled part time with a group also. We are now helping our son with a bible based addiction program that he authored called AsIs. It deals with all forms of addictions. It has been a real joy meeting the people, helping them with their struggles, and watching them be victorious over their addictions.
Gosh, where has the time gone? Not only has it been 50 years since we graduated, but in November we will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. I told Jerry that can't be because you would have to be really old for that to be true. He told me to look in the mirror! At any rate I'm looking forward to seeing all my young classmates.
