Today's Featured Biography

 

Susie (Sara) Jenkins

Been everywhere, it seems like. In the OK Army National Guard for 25 years, 17 of it active. Deployed twice. BS in Elem Educ and Master's in Early Childhood. Married and divorced-bummer. My daughter is happily married-saved her first kiss for Aaron, her husband on their wedding day. He's a wonderful man and a great addition to our family. Benjamin is at OSU majoring in Biosystems Agricultural Engineering. I almost got an abortion with him because I wasn't married and just didn't think I could go through that again. THANKING GOD EVERYDAY that I didn't. Worked in TX for four years with the Singapore Air Force and the TX National Guard where I met my husband. That didn't last long. Back to Shawnee to lick my wounds. Deployed, got put on orders again after I got home so I applied for an Active Guard Reserve position. Bought 30 acres in country and fostered, then adopted two more beautiful boys. Raising a bunch of goats and other animals. Active at Good Shepherd Chapel and Mission Shawnee. Life is busy, messy, crazy, wonderful!
