Today's Featured Biography

Dale Stiles
Some of you may remember me as a super skinny, long-haired free spirit from Shawnee, OK. Others now know me as a devoted Christian and family man living in Central Florida. I'm very blessed and living the dream! <><
I'm pretty simple minded but I work on technical equipment in the Navy. I have taught radar theory and fundamentals to hundreds of students and helped create curriculums to teach main-frame and micro-computers (PCs). However, I have no further desire to repair or maintain large pieces of electronic or electrical equipment and once I complete my career in the Navy, I'd rather go back to a simple life somewhere in the midwest. Oklahoma or Texas would be ideal. I wouldn't mind working on small PC's but I don't want it to dominate my personal life like it did when I was programming and building computers.
I would love to have a simple farm with a large fishing pond, a few head of cattle, a few goats, lots of chickens and ducks and lots of healthy vegetables ready to eat year round. I want space between me and my nearest neighbor. I love people and wave at everyone who drives by but I also like to relax in my yard without hearing my neighbors relax in theirs.
I'm imperfect and fallible but I use the scriptures as a guide for living. I was saved by grace at the tender age of 9 but was still a very rebellious teenager. I have two sisters that will be more than willing to tell you many stories of their terrible brother. While some might be slightly exaggerated for dramatic effect and interest, I'm afraid most of them are true. They wouldn't have to fabricate much at all to prove how pathetic I was. I finally got in line with God's teachings and felt a strong urge to preach and teach and carried my Bible to high school. I caught a lot of heartache about it but did it anyway. I had many who would just sit and listen to me tell about God's goodness and ask tons of questions. In time, I picked up some wayward souls that didn't really have a desire to change, just wanted someone to talk to. They took up all my time begging to talk to me. In time, my friends quit coming around and I felt very out of place.
I felt like my life was spinning out of control and instead of seeking God's will to get back on track, I fell away at the age of 17 and lived a hellion's lifestyle for many, many years. It took several years to really accept what I believed and totally rededicate myself to the Lord. My wife and kids have all been saved and baptized in my presence and I feel very, very blessed to have them in my life.
I'm down to earth and very approachable. I'll listen to anyone's opinion on world religions but if you're going to change MY mind, you'll have to show me where it is written in the Bible. I haven't read every story in every book but I've covered most of it and can quote the parts that have made the most difference in my life.
I have a renewed urge to preach and teach and feel like I've matured enough in life and in my spiritual walk to succeed in this calling but there are still many challenges to face and I pray for wisdom and patience.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
