Today's Featured Biography
Rosemary (Rosie) Jessop Evans
I married Merlyn Boss in 1980, we had 6 children together; divorced 1995. In 2002 I moved to Magna to rent a house owned by my brother. While living in Magna, I bought a '95 Ford Truck that was parked on 35th S. at about 6400 W. That was in March 2005. The truck belonged to one David L. Evans from Magna (Cyprus class of '75). We married 7 months later! Together we bought a home on the street behind the house I was renting. If anyone would have told me I'd be a Magna girl, I would have never believed it! I had no concept of 8000 West. As a kid I don't think I had ever been past Redwood Rd. 8000 West was like Nevada! My husband worked for Kennecott for 30 years, quit 2 years ago to work for a company that does contract work for Kennecott, so he's pretty much still there. I worked for Smith's Food and Drug from 1989-2009. I presently work for Marriott Guest Services. Four of my sons, Cooper, Porter, Cori and Jacson are married/engaged and have children. My son Ted is a student at SLCC and lives with his dad in Midvale.My daughter Annie is a junior at Cyprus H.S. Dave has 3 daughters, Lana, Amy and Hilary so together we have 9 children! We currently have 10 grandkids, and 1 on the way. We stay busy with work, kids, grandkids and church. We hope to retire to Washington County, hopefully sooner than later, and get away from the cold. I just don't know if I could stand being away from all the grandkids. Life is good! I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
