Today's Featured Biography
Dave Berger
I made it out of T.C., then went to VA Tech. I started out with a Mechanical engineering degree, and decided that it wasn't for me. I switched to Hotel Resaurant Management, and graduated in '92. I had worked in several restaurants and managed a pizza place, and with the prompting of the chef at the campus hotel, I went to Culinary school and graduated in '94. I worked for a time at the Greenbriar in W VA, then for a restaurant chain in Annandale, VA. That all had to change when I had my son, and I turned into a stay-at-home-dad. Yep, I never thought it would happen, but children do that to you. I eventually bought and renovated a house in Annandale, and now am self employed as a remodeling contractor in VA Beach. If you remember the old Mustang I had in high school, well, I still have it. My wife has let me keep it. I have had to endure years of survitude to keep it. By the way, I met her in college in the marching band where she also played the piccolo. I have two kids. My daughter is cute as hell, and thankfully, looks like her mother. My son is an up and coming pool shark. He is 7 and leading his pool league at his age level. Other than that, I am now an avid Hobie Cat owner and frequently go sailing with my brother (Dan, '86, duh). He also lives in VA Beach, and organizes the Hobie fleet. I hope he has a profile on this page.
