I was born and raised in Madison, WI with the exception of seven years of my childhood in Milwaukee. I attened Eastside Lutheran Grade School for 7th and 8th grade and then Eastside High from 1977-1981. I went to UW Madison from 1981 to 1985 and went back and finished college after my divorce. I graduated from UW Madison with a BA degree in Journalism in 1997. I worked for the UW for 15 years in three different departments. I am retired from the UW Madison Police Department. I completed my masters degree in social work from the University of Southern California in May of 2017 and Started my own program for social workers in 2020.
I have two wonderful sons, Zachary who lives in Tampa, FL and Christopher in Madison. My Mom and my sissy Wendy (class of 86) are also still in Madison and we are very close, so I come home a lot.
I was raised on a blecher by my sports fanatic father and I have spent my entire life going to East High games and UW Badger games. I am a life long Eastside High and UW Badgers fan! And the Packers of course!
I miss Madison very much, but I have a neck injury from my duty time as a police officer, so I can't DO WI winters anymore. I love the ocean and the beach, so FL is a perfect spot for me to live out my life.
I have been your reunion coordinator since the 10 year class reunion and I hope to continue to keep the class of 1981 connected for many years to come.
