Today's Featured Biography
Rebekka Arndt Heinzen
I have been quite busy since graduation from high school almost 14 years ago...
I got married in June of 1997, and bought a house in the country with Jason Heinzen. In August 1998 we had our first child, Myles and was lucky enough to be able to stay home with him, and only worked in the summer for the Lake Michigan Carferry Service. In April 2000 we had our daughter, Isabelle, and then soon learned that we do longer enjoyed living out in the country, so in the winter of 2000 we bought a new, larger house and moved back to Manitowoc. I continued to work only the summer months at the carferry so that I could stay home with the kids in the off season.
In 2005 I left the carferry, tried a few different jobs and then found a great job at Cher-Make Sausage working in the customer service department. I also enjoy spending time with the kids, coaching their DI (Destination Imagaination) teams, helping out that the dance studio where my daughter dances 3 hours a week, helping out with my sons boy scout troop when they need the help. And then spending time at the local children's theatre not only volunteering my time, but also taking on a role once and a while and getting back on stage.
My daughter is a pet lover, so we have had many many pets come into our lives we have had several hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, turtles, fish, and now only have a cat and a dog.
