Shawn Smith Rogers

Hi there!

Can we really be 20 years older-UGH! Well, I guess a little hair dye goes a long way...

I've spent the last 15 years with my husband, Chris. I lured him here from Boston and he hasn't stood a chance since. I've been very happy doing the "home-maker" thing. Our kids keep us busy, 2 boy and a girl. Soccer is about to start for the summer and with everyone playing, we'll be on the go daily!

In addition to my wife/mommy business, I spent the past year as a kindergarten teacher's aide. It was just so much fun and I got paid for it!! When the kids head back to school in the fall, I'll be going too. Rivers will move on to first grade, but I'll be staying in kindergarten where I think I was meant to be.

I'm happy to announce that I just finished my second children's book. The first one is titled "Salmon and Sockeye, Two Alaska Brown Bear Cubs On A Spring Day Adventure" and it hit the shelves August '05. This next book has the same two cubs on a "..Summer Fishing Adventure" and was released May '08. I also did the illustrations for both stories. A little marketing plug: Please check out my new website www.salmonandsockeye.com and I'll be having a book signing at The Book Shelf in Eagle River on June 28th. Thanks!

I am soooo looking forward to our reunion this summer and can't wait to catch up with everyone!
