After graduating from Adams City High, I went to University of Colorado, in the college of Engineering. After four and a half years I married Alberta Bertapelle (ACHS class of 1966). After the adventure of living in campus housing’s efficiently apartment for six months I graduated as an Electrical Engineer and we moved to Ohio to work for a steel company.
After a year there, we moved to Montana, Miles City then a year later to Phoenix. In phoenix we started our family with Richard. I was working for General Electric, there, and when they left phoenix, I was transferred to Boston then South Carolina. I decided I didn’t feel at home in the east, so we moved back to Phoenix to work for Sperry. We also had Jeffrey.
From there we moved to Fort Collins, Co, where we stayed five years working for Woodward Governor Co. We also had Margaret and Rachel.
While Rachel was still brand new, I took a job in Tucson, Arizona, working for a company that changed its name and was absorbed by other companies over the year there since 1985. That company is now Honeywell. While I am now working for Tucson Embedded Systems, our main customer is still Honeywell.
I irony of working for Honeywell is that they offered me a job just out of school, they took over the phoenix GE operations, then later the Sperry Phoenix operation, finally the Allied Signal Tucson operation, now Honeywell.
Jeffery, Margaret, and Rachel are now married, and we are enjoying the extended family. Jeffrey married Amy, who is working at IBM as a Software Engineer. Margaret married Rusty, who is now an Air Force Pilot, stationed in Colorado Springs, Co. Rusty and Margaret now have to girls, Lillian and Evelyn. They have purchased a Home there but may be nearing the assignment in Colorado. There time is Colorado has allowed the great aunts and uncles plus great grand parents to get to know them.
