Today's Featured Biography
donna minniear walters
I married Mike Vigil in 1968 and we had two sons. Mike was killed in 1973. I remarried in 1976 and moved to Durango in 1977. We had a daughter and boy/girl twins. I worked as a graphic artist in Denver and Durango. We started a data processing business that turned into international banking software. We also were part of a management company to create a casino on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. It was a great experience and an opportunity to explore my interest in Native American culture and traditions. But, alas, my husband was a cad, and we divorced in 1994. Since that time I have been doing light construction, remodeling, painting, etc., and have worked for an outfitter the last several years at wilderness hunting camps and horseback camping trips. I enjoy motorcycles, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, boating, fishing, 4-wheeling, leatherwork, needlework, cooking, and enough other stuff to prevent me from being proficient at any of them. I live in the country with an assortment of geriatric livestock and pets. I have an almost-two-year-old grandson who is just the best, and inherited an 11 year-old grandson who I am enjoying getting to know. I am planning to move, but don't know where yet. Time to start a new chapter. It was so much fun to see classmates at the reunion and am looking forward to the next one.
