My life has consisted of human experiences which could have only taken place because of my birth into the Howsam family here in the USA and under grace and mercy of loving God.
I have embraced the adventure of life through many avenues:
I was a wife for 35 years and divorced in 1997. Mother of 4, Grandmother of 8, Great-Grandmother of 6-1/3.
I have been a student and volunteer and as long as I am able, I will continue to take educational classes and be of service to the community where I live.
I have had a varied word experience including chambermaid, bookkeeper, tax preparer, CR for a sun tanning company, hospital chaplain and currently a property manager of 164 properties in a recreational area.
I am the Oblate of St. Benedict: affiliated with Mt. Angel Abbey and Seminary, Benedict Oregon.
I have been blessed to live abroad with my children, in Tervuren Belgium, for 4-1/2 years. Have also lived in New Mexico for 7, and Washington State for 39 years, where all of my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren still reside. I have been enriched by my pilgrimages to Holy places throughout the world. The mountains of Ararat, which I hope to visit in 3 years, will be the last place I have left to fulfill my bucket list, of standing and praying on every piece of land which is in Holy Scripture, (Genesis through Revelation). Israel is my favorite place to go on pilgrimage and God willing, I will return again next May 2013.
The challenging lessons of my life journey never stop coming, the manner in which I have responded to those lessons have expanded and changed me. I am grateful to God for good health, and hope that I am becoming the person God created me to be.
