Alexander Koltovskoy
Alexander is President and Chief Executive Officer of Alexander Edwards International, Inc. (AEI), a global retained executive search firm founded in February 1999. He serves on the company's Board of Directors as Chairman. Based in AEI New York City headquarters, Alexander provides leadership and strategic direction to its global executive search consulting practices and functions as senior business development and relationship manager with key institutional clients, including multinational financial services firms, Federal government agencies, science and technology driven businesses, and Fortune 500 corporations.
Before founding AEI, Alexander established and managed a worldwide presence in financial services risk management and information technology for one of the largest New York City based executive recruitment firms as Managing Director, Global Technology and Analytics. Since 1997 launch, both business units became the fastest growing sector competencies under his leadership, strategically diversifying the company's industrial profile.
Alexander began his career in professional executive recruitment in 1994 with a New York based boutique retained executive search consultancy, whereupon he was responsible for initiating and completing senior level engagements in investment banking, financial services, risk management, technology, general management, and healthcare in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Prior to joining the executive search profession, Alexander was an accomplished general manager with Abbott Laboratories (Abbott Park, IL), one of global healthcare leaders. His hands-on line management, sales, and marketing expertise enable Alexander to effectively assess his clients’ needs and seamlessly partner with senior management in developing and integrating major strategic initiatives. Alexander has a proven track record of establishing and developing significant businesses in emerging markets for Abbott during his expatriate assignment based in Zurich, Switzerland, which commenced in 1992. As General Manager, Emerging Markets, he carried full P&L responsibility for each newly established subsidiary and managed all sales, marketing, finance, operations, and other organizational functions. Alexander joined Abbott in 1988 in professional medical sales and received a series of promotions, leading to a highly visible general management role.
Alexander earned his MBA degree from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management (Glendale, AZ) in 1988, in addition to an undergraduate in Political Science and History from The University of Colorado at Boulder, which he received in 1987. Alexander is fluent in a number of foreign languages; he resides in Manhattan.
