Judy Walls Balis
Well, the last 10 years have certainly been a magnificent roller coaster ride. I started things off with a great run on a "practice marriage" to a very sweet man. Nine years later, we decided to part ways. No regrets. Then I met the love of my life (Jim). We have been together for the last 8 years now, and I treasure every day. We have two amazing daughters, Madeline who is a sweet, calm, and studious 11 year old, a bit on the shy side, and Sophie, our 3 year old tornado who refuses to leave the house without her lipstick, purse, and pearls perfectly in place. Our family also includes a slightly obese and EXTREMELY gassy Boxer, a psychotic cat who actually LIKES to be carried upside down (I'm not kidding, really!), and a gender confused hamster who miraculously grew giant testicles two weeks after being named "Lilly". Jobwise, I have been a Reading Specialist in the Boise and Meridian School Districts, as well in the private sector for the last 15 years, but my true love is decorating. After spending many years decorating the homes of my friends and family for free, my husband finally convinced me to start my own interior decorating company. Luckily, I took his advice to heart, and have been blissfully operating "NEST Interiors" for the last two years now (www.nestinstinct.com). Also in this last year, my husband and I had a moment of temporary insanity and opened a restaurant (Lulu's Fine Pizza), which is a gourmet, thin crust, pizza place located at the bottom of Bogus Basin Rd.(next to Ridley's Market). It's a great place to stop in for a hot slice and a cold micro-brew apres ski! Next time you are in the neighborhood, stop in and say hello! I hope you are all well, and wish you all the best!
