Holly Rudkin Vagley
Holly Cross Vagley joins the cast of Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC from 2/7/17 - 3/26/17.
As a recording and cabaret artist, she also performs a passionate blend of blues and pop-influenced, original and traditional Christian music on her debut CD, NAKED, blending powerful vocals, story-telling and Scripture to illustrate what God can do for each one of us.
Singing at the Memorial for a friend who was killed in the American Airlines plane that slammed into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, she learned music could be a force for good and not just a good time. In the aftermath, questions of "Why, God?" soon changed to "What do you want me to do?" NAKED is an answer to that prayer.
A 2-time WAMMIE winner as a recording artist and twice nominated for a Barrymore award as an actor, Holly has an extensive resume of stage, TV and film credits including: The Sixth Sense, For Richer or Poorer, Contact; NBC's Homicide, as well as pilots for both NBC and the Discovery Channel; over 300 performances at the Kennedy Center and singing at The White House.
In addition to acting and singing, she is a member of the Capital Speakers Club of Washington, DC and she speaks and sings at Women's Conferences about "The Love That Lasts"; a love that changed her life.
She and her husband, Bob, divide their time between Washington, DC and Naples, Florida and are the Co-chairs of the Capital Campaign for Jill's House, an overnight respite care facility for children with special needs and their families in Northern Virginia. www.jillshouse.org
Currently recording audio books (Marvel Graphic Novels) and writing a magical-realism middle grade novel about a hearing-impaired 12 year old who listens to the eerie voice inside her deaf ear to find her estranged father.
