Today's Featured Biography
Jill Fales Lunsford
Wow 25 years. Doesn't seem possible. I went to Penn Valley right out of school for about a semester. Wasn't really into it so I decided to quit for awhile and get a job. I joined the National Guard in 1991, and was in that for 6 years-great experience. I worked in the medical field in many different capacities. I got married in 1992- no children. I got separated in 1999. Started back to school for a nursing degree. Finally got divorced in 2001. Met my current, wonderful husband in 2001. We got married in Vegas-that was a blast, but no Elvis ceremony. By Aug. of 2002, we were blessed with our first son, (Jackson Alan). It was quite a shock, because I thought that I could not have kids and I had wanted them desperately. When I found out that I was pregnant with him I decided to go another route and took a medical transcription course so that I could work and still be at home with him. When he was 9 months old, we found out that I was pregnant again, (I guess after all of those years of trying I did not know how to prevent it-haha). We had our second son in Feb of 2004, (Justin Garrett). We moved to where my husband is from in Northeastern Missouri. We live in a rural area about 40 minutes away from Illinois. The closest Wal-Mart is an hour away. It has been quite an adjustment for me, but I am used to it. We ride 4-wheelers a lot and my husband is quite the hunter. I work at home for Blessing Hospital as medical transcriptionist. It can be quite challenging working from home and taking care of 2 children, but I love it. My husband works out of town a lot during the summer and is off work during the winter. He works for an asphalt company all over the state of Missouri. Anyway, look forward to the class reunion and hearing from anyone in the meantime. It has been great reading everyone's bios and seeing what all of you have been up to. Hope you are all doing well.
