I was married in 1975 and stayed home raising my 5 children for the next 15 years before going back to work when my youngest son was 4 years old.
In the early 90's I went back to school at Longview and began working for the Lee's Summit Police Dept. In the summer of 2000 I divorced and switched jobs to Sprint where I work for the Facilities division managing Sprint properties nationwide.
One of my favorite things in life is spending time with my grandson, Logan who now 2 years old.
My passion is riding my motorcycle and helping abused children. I get to do both through an organization called B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse). I am the local chapters Vice President. I ride a 1999 Kawasaki Drifter and love every minute of it.
My youngest child, Paul graduated from Lee's Summit North High School this past spring. This fall he will be on his way to Milford, NB to the John Deere diesel mechanic school. He was named Student of the Year at the Joe Herndon Vocational Diesel Mechanic School this past year with a 98% grade average. He's anxious to follow in his older brother, John's mechanical career.
Although I missed the 30 year reunion I did dig out my yearbooks and look at everyone's pictures and wondered what you all might look like today. Judy Adams Parker is still a wonderful friend, and we have remained in contact all these years.
I hope to see you all at the next gathering of our class.
