Andrea Craig
In the last twenty years, I attended Evangel College, SMSU, MCC, and Graceland, from which I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I have worked at Truman since 1997 and wouldn't want to work anywhere else! (Unless I could stay home and work as a full time mom and wife!) Time flies - filled always with tremendous blessings! I never married, although I spent many years in relationship with an amazing man... with whom I remain as family to this day! I would never exchange the invested years and blessed gift of Nick, our bond, and the community God gave me through life with him! My path led me instead to life as a single woman through my 30's, which has been awesome! I still hope to marry, and wait for that special someone to be my other half. But what makes me whole is my relationship with Jesus Christ. From childhood, I have known Him as savior, and I'm so thankful! But as an adult, with so many years behind me, I can now say He is truly Lord over my life, Husband, Provider, Counselor, Constant Companion, Protector, Merciful beyond comprehension... He is my everything! There is no one like Him and nothing that compares to serving Him! In 2005, He gave me the greatest gifts I've known yet: Sheila and Elena. They are sisters who needed a home, and GOD brought them to mine! They have given me joy beyond compare, taught me, brought me fulfillment like I never knew. They are beautiful, smart, sweet-spirited, tender-hearted yet ornery, kind and gentle yet can wrestle like brothers, loyal, generous, hilarious! I love them like no other. Sheila graduated from THS in 2008,is now an ARMY reservist, working full time, out on her own (yay for and wah for me!), in a great relationship (which makes this "mama" happy)...Elena is a Senior at THS (sniff, sniff - I'm almost an empty nester!!), in Theatre & Competetive Drama, a great student, with plans to enter culinary school next year. I will never go hungry! My parents (the greatest of ALL, ever!) are both healthy, and still together after 47 years -a miracle and inspiration! My brother and sister are both happily married, and I have AMAZING nephews from my brother (Matt,16 and Nathan,14), who attend Fort Osage HS. My home is finished off with a beautiful, lively, wild child ChocoLab named CoCo and big honkin Tuxedo cat named...Tux (but we often just call him Stupid). Life is good!
