Today's Featured Biography
Joseph Konkright
1958 - graduated CCHS
continued race track employment, played drums with local bands.
1961 - married Sandra Domagala, then worked at Foster Drug, and continued playing drums on weekend gigs with The Walkers, The Avengers, and The Lacers.
1964 - moved to Spokane, then to Portland, following horse racing seasons back and forth.
1969 - purchased 10 acres in Ridgefield, WA
1969 to 1976 worked various horse racing positions as exercise boy, valet, assistant starter; then Official positions as Clerk of Scales, Timer, Paddock Judge, Racing Secretary, and Steward at Portland Meadows, Montana Fair Circuit, Lethbridge Whoop Up Downs, Boise LesBois Park, and Park Jefferson in South Dakota.
1977 - moved to Littleton, CO to work at Centennial Race Track. When the track closed in 1983, I began building a 1934 Chevrolet coupe Street Rod to occupy time as I looked for a new profession. Joined Hugh M. Woods home building materials in the Electrical Dept. Through the next few years we were fortunate to do well enjoying, and then selling, the '34 Chevy, a 1937 Ford pickup, 1932 Ford three window, and a 1950 custom Merc. We attended car shows throughout the mid-west.
1997 - took early retirement and moved to St.George, UT. Worked part time at Hurst Ace Hardware and developed our 1 acre Kozy K Mini Ranch until fully retired in 2002. (Now I'm just tired !!) Since living in St. George we have continued enjoying car shows on the West Coast and in the Southwest areas with a 1951 custom Ford, 1933 Ford Sedan delivery, and currently have a purple 1929 Ford D-Livery.
2006 to 2010 - Still married to Sandra, and we are raising, training, and showing miniature horses.
2014 - Sold the cars, horses, and mini-ranch and moved to town. Looking forward to the CCHS All 60's Reunion in Sept.2015.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
