I graduated from Texas Tech in l962 and married Carlos a month later. We settled in Roswell and have been here ever since. We have one daughter, Carlyn, and two wonderful grand children, Taylor (17) and Garret (19) and a great son-in-law.
Over the years, I worked for Mountain States Telephone Company; for Mobil Oil Co., and when the oil companies moved to Midland, I worked for an independent geologist. When Carlos opened his own accounting office, I worked there for a number of years.
I love doing crafts and was a partner in a crafts and jewelry business until after several years, it became so time consuming, that we decided there must be more to life!
I've belonged to various organizations, and have been active in our church as a Sunday School director; about 10 years working with our youth and in various other areas. For 10 years I spent many days driving to Artesia as my Dad was not well and subsequently, passed away in 2004. In 2010 I had to bring Mom to Roswell to a nursing home here. She celebrated her 100th birthday in October. She passed away on March 10, 2013.
On October 6, 2011 I lost my wonderful husband of 49 years. These last several years have brought a lot of adjustment and changes but God is good and I'm thankful for a wonderful life. I have been truly blessed.
Twenty fifteen brought a big change, I sold my house that we had lived in for almost 40 years. The yard and the pecan trees just got to be more than I wanted to take care of. I bought a town house in town and I have loved being here. It does my heart good to see someone else taking care of the yard, shrubs etc.
Twenty sixteen has already started out with more excitement than I was ready for. My grandson and his wife are going to make me a great-grandmother in October and my granddaughter just got engaged so we also have a wedding coming up.
God just keeps blessing.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
