Today's Featured Biography
Susan Donaghey Angell
Larry and I have been married since September, 1972. We have three daughters and three grandsons. We have lived in the Wichita, KS area since 1978 (except for 2 years spent in Atlanta Jan 2007- Mar 2009). Our first two years we lived in Nevada where Larry worked as a cowboy. We then moved to Texas, where our daughter, Amy, was born. Our move to Kansas brought two more daughters to our family. Larry has worked for the same company since 1971 - Koch Industries - and has held quite a number of different jobs - Cowboy, Ranch Bookkeeper/Cowboy, Ranch Manager, and President of Matador Cattle Co. When we moved to Kansas he held executive positions in Matador Cattle Co, Koch Gathering, Koch Agriculture, Koch Oil Field Services, Chase Pipelines, Koch Pipelines, Reiss Remediation, Koch Nitrogen, Invista, and last, but not least, back to Koch Pipelines where he is the liason for Koch's interest in the TransAlaskan Pipeline. For the most part, I have stayed at home with the girls. However, I have enjoyed several jobs along the way -- "Adoptive mom to 65 calves, Wagon Cook - an experience I would not like to repeat, Travel Agent, School Secretary, and Accounts Payable for a medical practice. In Kansas, we live on a wheat farm (160 acres) and also have a home in South Fork, CO.
Update - 10/15/2018
Larry officially retired in 2011. This has been an adjustment for both of us!! We celebrated out 46th wedding anniversary in September and we have traveled to several different countries as well as traveling the USA. Next year we hope to make it to New Zealand and Australia. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the 50th reunion!
Update - 3/7/2019
This year our dream trip comes true! We are going to New Zealand and Australia! Four of our grandchildren live within walking distance and the others are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, so not too far away. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion - WOW -- 50 years - how did we get so old?!
