Today's Featured Biography
Greg Hampton
In high school I was seriously into music and constantly daydreaming of becoming a rock star one day. Well, I'm not quite there just yet, but I'm definitely on my way.
I'm currently drumming full time for the band Rockbox. Check us out at www.rockboxmusic.com or www.canyoufeelthis.com. We are based out of New Orleans, La and we play five nights a week at a club called Fat Catz, located in the 400 block of Bourbon Street. We play covers of the 70's, 80's, 90's, and new rock. We play stuff like Boston, Rush, Journey, Kansas, Styx, all the 80's hair metal, and the 90's stuff, too.
We are currently writing our own material and have one song that we have played a few times at our shows and it seems to be getting a good response. For Spring Break this year, we will be playing at Club Spinnaker in Panama City Beach Mar 11-14 and Mar 22-28. It's going to be crazy.
That's about it. I am playing music full time and that is what I have wanted to do for a long time, and it's finally starting to pay off. Other than music, my hobbies are snow skiing, singing, and personal fitness.
I look forward to seeing my class at the 20 year reunion. God bless you all.
