12/05 Hey Pirates - I have lived in the Ojai Valley since 1986. In the late 80's, when my daughter, Amanda, was cheerleading for Nordhoff High School, she would get upset with me because I sat with the "opposing team" the when SYHS came to play. (:
My wife, Danna, and I just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. We met at a Cystic Fibrosis fund raiser on the Maverick
Saloon's parking lot. We each were married twice, unsuccessfully. (Danna had no children, but she inherited a ready-made family when she married me.) The third time was the charm! We now have two grandsons, Julion 3 and Jesse 11 months.
After high school, I joined the Marines and served two tours of duty in Viet Nam. I attended SBCC on the GI Bill, and after graduation, moved to Georgia. Four years later I returned to California, and the beautiful south-central coast, for good!
I am the electrician for California Mushroom Farm in Ventura, and am active in the VFW, love to hike, and play singles tennis every weekend. (Yep, I'm still very competitive, but am trying to mellow out.)
Danna sells and installs manufactured homes from Goleta to Fillmore, is very busy and doesn't know if, or when, she will retire. I love my job, but talk about retirement in a year or two. We'll see.
Thanks to the efforts of Matt Pickett, our class has been getting together again. Looking forward to seeing you all at our reunion next fall...Hope you'll be there!
