Today's Featured Biography
George MOERING
Hi all, well it's been 50 years since we were booted out of high school. I've only been back to the Valley a few times since moving to Seattle in 1974.
The motel my parents used to own was torn down last year, and I recall the last time I was in Buellton I actually got lost! Time has marched on and so have we.
After graduating from San Diego State in 1973 Betty and I moved to Seattle so she could attend the University of Washington to get her masters. We thought we'd only be here 18 months, but 40 years later we are still here. I spent my professional career in banking, in many capacities over 34 years. I took an opportunity during the big recession to retire early and have never looked back.
After much practice, I have become a mediocre golfer... But a better grandfather to our four grandkids. Unfortunately they do not live close so we are frequently traveling to Portland and Las Vegas for visits and babysitting.
Life is good, enjoy the reunion for all of you who can make it.
