Today's Featured Biography
Doris Blanton Hawley
Married Manual graduate Jim Ed Wyatt in 1961. We were a typical Air Force family traveling the nation with our two little boys. We were fortunate to have lived in the Far East (Taiwan) before ending up in North Carolina in 1969. He retired as a pilot with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Our sons, Jeffrey (1962) and Phillip (1964) decided to just stay in Wilmington, NC after attending UNC-Wilmington. (Jeff received his BA degree in 1983.) Phil and wife, Kelly, presented me with my only grandson, Aaron, in 1998.
I divorced Jim Ed and married Michael Hawley, an Army man in 1981.
I've been doing music all my life. I was lead vocalist in a band for over 25 years, church pianist and soloist, choir director, and sang in various choirs through the years. I decided to go to college when I was 39 and received a BS in music education.
Taught in the school system a very short time and currently teach private piano lessons and do an occasional gig.
I've only been to one Manual reunion but plan to go to the 50th reunion.
If anyone remembers me, I would love to hear from you.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
