I guess lilke most of you I have traveled many roads career wise and personally. About 7 years ago I decided to become a traveling nanny! Kinda crazy but I like it. I never made it to college except for that short stint in Cal where it was free! But I don't have any regrets about that--it made me be more creative in deciding how to define myself.
I have always loved to travel and I found a way to see the world and let someone else pay for it. I have been to Italy, France, China, most of the islands in the Carribean and working my way to Dubi, Greece, England and few other countries next year with clients.
I know it sounds pretty easy but it's hard work keeping all those children happy and stressed out parents on schedule! But I found I had a knack for it so it fits me.
I am still married to Jim and like most marriages it has had its ups and downs but I'm kinda glad we worked through it all and I think we are pretty happy--well, he still wishes I was neater and I still wish he didn't procrastinate so much!
I live in Fl right now but am trying to get moved to Austin, Texas as my final place to retire. Hopefully next year we will get moved there! Have no idea how I am going to sell this house and get moved in the short open spaces I'm not working but hey, where there is a will there is a way!
I've lived in California, Ky, New York and now Florida, so the gyspy in me is ready to move one more time.
Kids are fine--nothing earth shattering but I love them!
I don't know if I can make it to the reunion, but will try--Nancy Matthews is pushing pretty hard for it to happen!
I think back to the Manual years and for me High School was something I couldn't wait to finish--except for marching band, no great memories--just those painful awkward ones about growing up! BUT I do think about the people and I did love the diversity we had and I know it has molded me and for that I am thankful.
Sometimes we revert back to that 18th year old kid and think "why do I want to see THOSE people again!" Well, because we really are the only ones who knew you when and 40 years later, that still counts for something! Plus, we are I think "better" than we were back then and we do let go of all that teen angst and truly do try to get to know one another one more time. So, if that's all that is holding you back, think about it again. Maybe you think your life isn't "special enough" and you are not sure you want to mingle with those "successful" people! Hey, if I can walk in -- anyone can! It isn't about success or even failure, it's about people who like you for yourself and there's no place like that but at a reunion.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
