Today's Featured Biography
Kathi Cox Seibold
After hs, I attended Del Mar College for a year before tranferring to Texas A&M Univ. in College Station. My sophomore year, I joined the University Symphonic Band. (This was before women were admitted to the Texas Aggie Band.) I joined the Corps of Cadets my junior year. W-1 was my outfit. In 1982, I graduated with a BBA in Management.
In 1984, I moved to the DFW area and went to work for Hewlett-Packard. I was there for over 17 years and worked in several different areas, most of the time in Proposals.
I married Dennis W. Seibold in 1992. We moved to Corinth in 1993. I couldn't have children, so we became foster parents in 1996. We adopted the first two boys who came to us. DJ was 6, and Billy was 4. They're now 14 and 12, respectively. Other children came and went, then in 1998, we almost brought a baby girl home from the NNICU at Parkland Hospital, but we were informed we lived in the wrong county. Soon though, another wonderful little girl was available. Sarah came to us at 1-day old. We planned to stop with her, but then Mary Grace was born of the same birth mom in 2000, and we knew she was meant for us.
After closing our license to foster/adopt with the adoption of Mary Grace, we both became CASA volunteers.
I homeschool Billy, who's in 9th grade. DJ's in 10th grade. Sarah's a third grader, and Mary Grace will be going to first grade soon. My mom lives with us now for those of you who remember Mrs. Cox at Central Office. She's almost 86 and does remarkably well for her age.
Our lives have been built on stepping out on faith, and letting God work through us. Through many lessons, both painful and joyful, we've learned to trust God for everything and to put our entire lives in His hands.
