Sue Woodard Barth
Greetings Friends!
I guess I'm suppose to give you an update of what I've been up to for the last 25 years...Wow, that just doesn't seem possible. It just seems like yesterday that we were hanging out, going to the beach, football games, etc. and of course school!
I have seen a few updates about others through Eric Ritter's emails and I have enjoyed them. Especially, the current football updates. Would love to know more, unfortunately, we are all busy living our lives in many different places. Maybe someday soon!
Just a brief update...after graduation I attended SWTSU and received a BS in Ed. and began teaching in San Marcos. In 1985 Steve Barth (class of 1981) I got married and in 1988 moved to VA. when he began working for Dept. of Defense. Since then we have lived in Alabama, New York, and back to Northern VA. where we have been since 1995.
We have three beautiful children, Ben(20), Elise(18) and Nathan(15). Ben is entering his third year of college at Radford University in Radford, VA. Elise is entering her sophomore year at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. (Yes, this spring was a horrible experience!) And Nathan is entering his sophomore year of High School at WSHS in Springfield,VA. I know it appears that VA. is our homestate and yes, that is where we have now resided the longest. However, we truly miss Texas and our hearts still call it home. Unfortunately our children think of VA. as home and the older they get, as I'm sure many of you can attest, where they grow up in high school is what they call "home". We do have some hope because our youngest, Nathan, is wanting to attend UT, like his dad. We'll see...
As of today, Steve is still working for the Dept. of the Army at the Pentagon and I work part-time at the school in our church and with the Children's Ministry in our church.
In closing, I just want to say that there have been many times I have stopped and thought about high school and the great times with great friends spent at FBHS. Those are special memories and I want to thank those of you who were a part of it. I also want to add, that I trust and pray that all of you are safe, healthy and happy in the paths you have followed.
