Today's Featured Biography
Jill Crowson Scholz
Hello strangers! So good to know that everyone is doing well. I've often wondered what's happened to most of you, so I love that someone had the brains to start this up. Way to go!
My life has been fairly plain compaired to a few of the stories some of you folks have.
I first attended the bluff in the 6th grade & loved the beach ever since. After graduation I went where the scholarship was so to TAMUCC I went. I graduated with a BS degree in 2001 - I majored in Geographic Information Science, Systems emphasis, with a minor is Computer Science. I waited tables, threw pizza, and tended bar during college. Favorite job ever? Bartending hands down!
After graduation I snagged a job at Digital Mapping Services in downtown Corpus, was quickly promoted to Manager of GIS Operations & loved that job until they shifted gears in early 2006, come May I found myself without a job. I did however suddenly find myself with several opportunities to step out on my own and decided to just run with it. I am an Independant Consultant now, working with several companies on an as needed basis.
On a more personal note, I married Damion Scholz on June 14, 2003. We met at TAMUCC, and he actually ended up swapping degree fields into mine. He's from Houston but neither of us want to be there longer than the weekend, too much traffic and always so rush rush! We both work full time jobs and moonlight at Tropical Fish Haven on Sunday afternoon's. We adore tropical fish and our catahoula, Lizzy. We just closed on our first house in... THE BLUFF! I can't believe I'm a bluff rat again.
Can't wait to hear developments on the reunion. Count me in.
