Dustin Jordan
Hello everyone!
After high school I moved to College Station and attended Texas A&M. Initially, I joined the Corps of Cadets. I found I did not like getting yelled at by 19 year olds, and I quit. I then joined the Army Reserves and spent the summer of '95 getting yelled at by drill sergeants that were much scarier than the above mentioned 19 year olds and learned how to be an MP (which I much preferred).
In the summer of '96, my reserve unit was deployed to Germany in support of the whole Bosnia thing. I spent just shy of a year there working as an MP. I got involved in writing back and forth with a cute redhead named Carol that I met just before I left. Carol decided to come to the ceremony they had when my unit got back from Germany (a surprise).
2 weekends later (2 dates later, and the 4th time we had seen each other) we got engaged! Our 7 year anniversary is in August. Definitely the best decision I ever made, she is great, and for some reason, she likes me.
In '98 Madeline was born. I was still going to school, and Carol taught (and still teaches) pre-school. I needed a job, and my only real skills were as an MP, so I became a police officer with CSPD. Being a cop is usually loads of fun. I get cool toys, I help people and arrest bad guys. I don't spend my days sitting behind a desk and I never know what is going to happen any night I am working. I have been a police officer for about 5.5 years now and I have definitely found my calling.
In '01 little Dmitri was born. Yes, he was named after Dmitri Pfohl, my best friend and also the best man at my wedding. My Dmitri won't be so short though! hehe
