Today's Featured Biography
Scott Jones
I'm an odd bird (but in a good way). I love horror and I love fantasy, in all the media forms,..books, films, games, etc... I love ghost stories,..and I was raised on faerie tales.. I was born in Bangkok Thailand (where my parents were stationed) and have multi-cultural influence which has shaped my likes and dislikes. My house is a museum of the eccentric and bizarre. I love animals (but am apparently somewhat allergic to cats, even though I love 'em). In fact, I am currently caring for a disabled opossum named Pogo (a story unto itself). I still play role-playing games (once was D & D, now is Call of Cthulhu, and am even working on an original new paper-game), which is what creatively led me to the career fields in which I made my fortune. I worked most recently as an artist in the computer gaming industry, but eventually broke away from that to do creative writing and illustration for myself. I love to laugh and love to make others laugh. I love telling stories, and I love to hear good stories told. I love to talk, and I love to listen. I love to scuba-dive, to snow-ski (such as my recent adventures in the French Alps),..and outdoor stuff in general. Being creative recharges me. People call me "Scottie-cakes" sometimes, because I used to be a pastry chef (and even an ice-carver), and I still make friends' wedding cakes from time to time. My friends, both near and far, mean a lot to me,..and I love spending time with them.
And now,...you know who I've become...
