Today's Featured Biography
Gayrene Chambers Chambers-Borowiak
I was in China for 3 weeks last summer (2007), traveling with a China Brush Painting group. We were all over China and Tibet. I have many memories, some good and some troubling. I also do lots of square dancing. I began square dancing as therapy when I found myself alone. I met Dick 11 years later at a square dance. Dick and I were married in 2003 the same year that my 19 year old granddaughter was killed in an auto accident. It will be a year we will never forget.
My 21 year old grandson is now safely home from Iraq and back in Minnesota. Griffin will soon be 7. He lives close by and is the light of my life.
Dick and I are both retired and always say we want to travel. But we are finding there is no place like home. I volunteer 1 1/2 days a week at a K4 school. An entire school full of 4 year olds. It is great fun. I do not get back for reunions and was not very involved while in high school. However, it is interesting to read about you and sometimes I check the reunion booklet. This site is great.

I always enjoy reading about my classmates and wish more would use this class page to update us on their lives. I still volunteer but we no longer square dance. My new hobby is quilting and Dick plays Sheepshead, a card game, several times a week. I no longer volunteer at church and my grandsons are now 29 and 15. Traveling these days is mostly to Abaco Island, Bahamas twice a year as my daughter owns property there on the Sea of Abaco. I'll spend two weeks there in April with a girlfriend, my husband does not like to go, we'll quilt, swim in the pool, soak in the spa tub and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
