Today's Featured Biography
Tim Hollingsworth
Attended ACHS from 1982-1986.
Attended Southwestern College from 1986-1990.
Attended University of Oklahoma from 1990-1994.
Settled initially in Norman, Oklahoma.
I currently live outside of Peoria, Illinois, near the Peoria Regional Airport.
I married Michele Lee Ingolia on August 3, 1991.
Our first child, and favorite daughter, Britt, was born on 12/6/1992.
Our second child, Zach, was born on 10/18/1996.
Our third child, Nate, was born on 7/14/2000.
No additional children are planned unless Publisher's Clearinghouse knocks at our door.
- I worked for MidFirst Bank, Oklahoma City, from 1994-1998, first as a finanical analyst, then as technical support manager, and finally as a senior business analyst.
- I worked for Fleming Companies, Oklahoma City, from 1998-2002, first as a senior systems analyst and then as a project manager.
- I created and managed Knowledge Transfer Services, a management and technology consulting firm, from 2002 - late 2003. During this time, my family and I moved from Norman, Oklahoma to Peoria, Illinois.
- In early 2004, I transferred all clients to other consulting firms in the area, and closed Knowledge Transfer Services to work full time for a client, Integrity Mortgage Services, responsible for technology, legal, regulatory, branch office development, and the migration of the company from a Mortgage Brokerage to a Mortgage Bank.
- I accepted a position with MedPro Advantage, LLC in 2005, as a project manager (www.medproadvantage.com). The management team and administrative staff of Soderstrom Dermatology Center (www.skinnews.com) were spun off to enter into the areas of medical practice acquisition or medical practice management/outsourcing. On January 2006, I was made partner in MedPro Advantage LLC. I will most likely retire from this company, unless the medical profession undergoes a massive decline in patient visits.
Special events of significance in my life have been:
- 1984 I placed 4th in the nation in high jump for my age division at the Amateur Athletic Union National Track Meet.
- 1986 Signing a letter of intent to play basketball and run track at Southwestern College.
- 1989 The death of my best friend, Cecil Dawes. To my knowledge, the true and complete events in the last 48 hours of his life are still unknown.
- 1989-1990 I placed 7th at the NAIA National Indoor Track Meet.
- 1990 I enrolled at the University of Oklahoma School of Law and the University of Oklahoma Graduate School of Business.
- 1991 I married my new best friend, Michele Lee Ingolia.
- 1992 We welcomed Brittney into the world.
- 1996 We welcomed Zachary into the world.
- 2000 We welcomed Nathaniel into the world.
- 2002 I passed the Project Management Institute's examination and earned the credential of Project Management Professional.
- 2002 39,000 employees, including myself, were let go in a series of layoffs, when Fleming Companies declared bankruptcy and subsequently became insolvent.
- 2002 I started Knowledge Transfer Services. It was incredible to be responsible for all facets of a business, especially those functions performed by other departments when I worked as an employee. Marketing, Legal, and A/P were definite neccessary EVILS.
- 2003 My wife, after 12 years of marriage, convinced me to move to Illinois, where client and employment prospects were more abundant. It was hard moving from Norman (which we knew as "Eden's Front Porch"), especially knowing we would not be going to all the OU home games.
- 2004 Knowledge Transfer Services landed it's biggest client, who eventually hired me full time (and I was able to rid myself of the neccessary EVILS). I accepted a position at Integrity Mortgage Services.
- 2006 With barely 1 year of effort to prove myself, I was made partner at MedPro Advantage, LLC. 1st year NI was $5 million vs estimated loss of $500k. Retained Earnings were $1 million. I can see myself retiring from MedPro, unless Illinois continues to tax everything in sight. In that case, I will volunteer to start a branch in Oklahoma.
Changes since ACHS - I still like science fiction and historical novels, sports, and music (vocal and instrumental), but my biggest joy in my life is my family. I've had the best times in my life coaching my kids in t-ball, basketball, and soccer.
- I had the privilege of seeing Brittney selected as the vocal soloist for the Norman Children's Chorus' final performance of 2002. I was also able to see her tumbling and dance teams win first place in their respective categories for her age and skill division, and win second overall at Nationals. Currently (10/2/06) she is nursing a broken hand, and is only able to teach and take jazz and ballet.
- Zachary has just won the part of Tommy in "It's a Wonderful Life", and is in the middle of fall soccer.
- Nate is in fall soccer, and is the Super Mario Kart champion.
- Michele was selected to accompany the Limestone Community High School Choirs, play the harpsichord for the Madrigal Dinner, and serve as the accompanist for the LCHS school musical. On top of that, she teaches piano and voice lessons to area kids.
Future Plans - In the next 12 to 18 months, we plan to either build or buy 2 - 10 miles farther out from Peoria than we currently are, probably on a 1 - 5 acre lot with TONS of TREES. After that, I still want my 21 ft. power cruiser so I can go water skiing. Long Term...to retire or be otherwise in a position to attend 1/2 of the OU football games any given season.
2006 20th Class Reunion - I will miss you all. We're bringing on 1 new physician and 1 physician assistant, and will most likely hire an additional physician by 10/20, and I will be required to be present to ensure that their applications to the state and also the local hospitals are processed without any problems or delays. Hope to see you all on our 25th reunion.
Tim
