After losing our home and cars in Hurricane Harvey in 8/17, we moved in with son Jeffrey and are living in Fulshear Texas. In Houston we have a small liaison office for buying American materials as we headquartered in Dakar Senegal. I had founded Fortesa in 1997 for Senegal, where we are in the E&P and drilling & pipeline businesses.
After graduation from Strong Vincent, I left Erie permanently and moved to Ohio where I graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in April 1969 with a BA in Business Administration and minor in Speech & in Economics. I worked full time during College for Ohio Nut & Bolt Company, a/k/a Fastener Industries before joining Arthur Andersen & Co in Cleveland for nearly four years where I became a CPA and worked in Audit & Tax. In end of 1972, I moved to Slidell Louisiana and joined NASA's Slidell Computer Complex, becoming Comptroller by 1974. It was of course quite boring working for the government and not the 'real world' as we used to say due to the artful constraints on doing the 'right thing' and following a scripted plan, so I gradually phased into the Oil Industry by joining Richardson Seismic after three years back in the time of the OPEC Oil Embargo. It's more than 44 years later and I am still with the same company, now as executive Chairman of AFRICA FORTESA Corporation with our name changes. We are Senegal's only O&G producer, only drilling company and also drilling in Cameroun, and working in Guinea Bissau & Mauritania as well. I am married for 38 years to Beth Fitzpatrick Beall, together we have four very successful children and eight intelligent grandchildren & our third Great Grandkid on the way. We daily Thank GOD for our Blessings, opportunities, gifts and Erie Pennsylvania for our foundatoin values, culture, families and friends.
