The Strong Vincent High School 60th class reunion will be held on August 14 and August 15, 2026 at the Erie Yacht Club. Come join your classmates for appetizers and cocktails on Friday, August 14th. Then bring your significant other for brunch on August 15th. Both events will be held at the Erie Yacht Club. Times and costs will be communicated as we get closer to the event. Additional information will also be relayed through the Facebook Groups: SVHS 1966 #1 and SVHS 1966 #2.

Ellery “Rick” Miller, Jr. is the Executive Director and co-founder of Professional Development and Training Center, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) corporate and fiscal organization that manages the Citizenship Law-Related Education Program for the Schools of Maryland (CLREP).
CLREP is a partnership of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland State Department of Education. The program was initiated in 1975 and has provided services to the citizens of Maryland for 31 years.
Mr. Miller earned both a Bachelors and Master of Arts degrees from Edinboro University. He taught social studies courses and was the Coordinator of the Carroll County Public Schools Understanding Ourselves and Others Human Relations Project prior to joining CLREP in 1976.
He has taught courses on History and Law-Related Education on the Secondary, Undergraduate and Graduate levels. He is a national leader in law-related education and training.
Mr. Miller has written numerous articles and been directly involved in the development of 19 curriculum resource guides. He directed a K-4 elementary curriculum development project, Educating for Citizenship, which was published by Aspen Systems. He served on the American Bar Association Youth Education For Citizenship (YEFC) Advisory Committee on Increasing Minority Involvement in LRE. He currently serves on the Board of Civil Justice, Inc.
He was the 1994 recipient of the American Bar Association’s Isidore Starr Award for exemplary achievement in law-related education, and the 2004 recipient of the Maryland Bar Foundation Professional Legal Excellence Award for Increasing Public Understanding about the Law.
Rick has worked with members of the legal profession to design and develop the following programs for young people:
* Initiator and developer of the Maryland State Bar Association High School Mock Trial Competition, of which over 34,000 students have participated in during its 22-year history.
* Maryland Law Links and Law and Leadership Institute which has served over 550 Maryland Public High Schools, by providing them with an eight-week paid internship and leadership development program
* CLREP Peer Mediation model which has been implemented in over 70 Maryland schools.
* Baltimore City Teen Court, a diversionary program that has successfully diverted over 500 11- to 16-year-old offenders, and provided leadership opportunities for over 200 youth volunteers.
Rick lives in Howard County Maryland and attends Kittamaqundi Community Church. He is married to Florence Miller and has two daughters and two granddaughters with a third grandchild on the way. Rick also has a wonderful dog, Shivas Irons of Ellicott, a long-haired miniature dachshund Gigantus, who rules the house and surrounding woods.
