I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home and after high school attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Iowa ('69-73). Upon graduation, I worked secretarially at the home office of Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. Later, I worked for one of their field administrators in Manila, Philippines, for two years and then came to Yuba City, CA, to work short term with Baptist Mid-Missions among the Punjabis (from India). I then went full time with BMM to Bangladesh ('81-86), spent two years in language study and worked in a hospital setting (reception/hygiene teaching) and taught the Bible to women and children. The Lord brought Robert, a widower, and me together in 1999 when at 47 I became a wife and "mother" and within less than 4 years, a grandmother. After home schooling our granddaughter from Kindergarten through fourth grade, she is now in a Christian school (getting straight A's). She is the child of Robert's younger daughter and her husband. His other daughter and husband live in Alaska.
We are active in our local Baptist church.
